Where to Find Moodle Quiz Answers (the Legit Way)
Looking for Moodle quiz answers? Here are the legitimate places to find them, from the review page to feedback and AI study tools, and what does not work.
"Moodle quiz answers" is one of the most searched phrases by students, and most of what comes up is useless or risky. The truth is that the best answers are usually already inside your course. Here is where to find them legitimately and how to use them to learn.
1. The review page
After you submit an attempt, click Review in the quiz summary table. Depending on your teacher's settings, you can see whether each answer was correct, the marks, specific feedback, general feedback and the right answer. Teachers often release correct answers only after the quiz closes, so check again later if they are hidden now. Our guide to reviewing Moodle quiz mistakes explains every option.
2. Feedback and explanations
Many questions include general feedback that explains the reasoning. This is often more useful than the answer itself, because it tells you why. Read it even for questions you got right, because you might have guessed correctly for the wrong reason.
3. Practice quizzes and past attempts
If your course has practice quizzes, work through them and review them. They often reuse the same concepts as graded quizzes. Your own past attempts are also answer keys for the topics they cover.
4. Your teacher
It sounds obvious, but asking works. Post in the course forum or send a message: "I got question 7 wrong and do not understand why the answer is C." Teachers almost always respond well to specific questions.
5. AI study tools
AI can answer and explain most quiz-style questions. For practice quizzes and self-study, this is a powerful way to check yourself. With TrustStudy, you can highlight a question on the Moodle page and press Alt + X to see the answer in the corner of the page. The key is to answer first and check second, so you learn instead of copying.
What does not work
- Answer lists online: most Moodle quizzes draw random questions from a private bank and shuffle answers, so shared lists rarely match your version.
- Inspect element: Moodle grades answers on the server, so correct answers are not hidden in the page. See can Inspect Element reveal Moodle answers?.
- Scripts and "hacks": they are often outdated, broken or unsafe for your account. See why Moodle quiz scripts are risky.
The line you should not cross
Turn answers into knowledge
An answer is only valuable if you understand it. For every answer you look up, write one sentence explaining why it is correct, and test yourself on the same idea a few days later. That is how you avoid needing to look up the same answer again on the final exam. For a full study routine, see effective study strategies for Moodle quizzes.
